Brownies! (not the dessert, the place) I depend on the vendors after Thursday, will bring a few food items for myself, but have really appreciated the group meals. If anyone wants to host a meal Tuesday or Wednesday, I bet many of us could pitch in with a side dish, desert etc. I know Neil appreciated all of the support for his Friday morning breakfast all of those years, but has no plans to re-vive it this year.

Billy and I are going to to pulled pork sliders like usual.

Made some BBQ slaw as well. Sides and deserts welcomed!

Got another secret appetizer as usual TBD....

Not what days as the Bean is so fluid so keep your noses / ears peeled.

I Just want to say a BIG THANKS to everyone who cooks at the Bean and invites others to join. Since I fly into the Bean from Arizona, I depend completely on what I can buy when I get her and put in a  cooler or get from vendors. I very much appreciate all the meals I've had the pleasure of receiving at the Bean. I'd try to list them, but I'd probably miss someone and that would be bad. So a big thanks to ALL!!!

I'll be stopping at a grocery store on my way in from Indianapolis airport Tuesday evening. If anyone needs anything please text me at 770-789-7869 and I'll be happy to get it. Please don't post here ... I might not see it. Text me and I'll see it for sure. Thanks again!

had a request for the coney sauce recipe

Here ya go

Nana;s Coney dogs
Note:  For the bean I used 2 double batches (8 lbs meat) with 75 hot dogs
Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup white sugar  (I think this is too sweet ( i double  the recipe and use a heaping 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper  (I like pepper so i add more, or sometimes white pepper for a little kick))
3/4 teaspoon salt   i  use less  salt)
Directions
Place the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring to crumble, until beef is browned. Drain. Transfer the beef and onion to a slow cooker and stir in the ketchup, sugar, vinegar and mustard.
Season with celery seed, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and salt. Cover and simmer on Low setting for a few hours before serving.  i actually do ahead of time and reheat  or freeze.

Some times i cook the dogs in the sauce...nice twist especially if using skinless dogs
