Another year in the books, tremendous weather, saw some new to me acts and wasn't Charlie Musselwhite awsome! For me, the best part is re-connecting with Bean buddies and meeting new players. I think I jammed more this year than I have for many years, most of it with some primo bluegrassers! Another Bean to remember!

It was the best lineups since I have been going, played my native american flutes Thursday night for in between the band change later that night I was invited to play before 30 minutes before the Friday opening ceremonies.
Only downside being sick from Wednesday to date.
Got some good stage photos will try to post some.Charlie Musselwhite was great never enjoyed myself more.

What a great Bean. Saw lots of old friends and had time this year to sit down and really talk to a few of them.

Lots of jamming ... lots of napping ... Barbara's clam chowder and Coney Dogs ... Shags salmon ... went running with Harmonica Bruce ... Neil and Shag were both great in the harmonica contest ... Bruce showed me how to play 50's rock n roll on the bass ... great to have Dylan and his sax there again ... cool weather ... bought a super cool bass harmonica from Danny G ... trading high end harp licks with Leland and Shags ... playing Roy's home-made stand-up bass ... met a new guitar player (Jed) and his two huge golden labs ... had so much fun playing the little Uke Bass ... Samantha Fish ... Charlie Musselwhite ... Southern Avenue ... no worrying about work this year ... Shaggy gave me a tenor C harmonica ... a damn fine time all the way around.

Neil and I have had the good fortune to play with a longtime bluesman, the Rev Charlie Edmonds. Charlie will be playing close to home this week end at a 2 day Blues event where he is to receive the bluesman of the year award. I'll be in the front row. Also appearing, Governor Davis and Samantha Fish! Party's not over yet.
